A few more from the mask series

The top image is a detail of the whole. I use a lot of layers in my work, using the overlap of colors to build texture, shadow, etc. This is the darkest piece in the series, really pushing the application of layers. The depth of tone is achieved here with the use of pastel and acrylic layered.

This is one of the more recent pieces, done on raw canvas with pastel, then sealed.

I'll start the posting bonanza with some of my older work from this series. These are three pieces from early 2010. The two lower, square ones are on wood panel, the top on canvas. Acrylic and Ink.
